Fifth Year Art students took their Art History studies outdoors recently when they visited St Fin Barre’s Cathedral and experienced this wonderful example of French Gothic architecture first hand.
The girls were very quick to recognise many of the architectural features which they studied in class, along with some extra ones such as the gargoyles that spray rainwater on passers-by and the much loved ‘Goldie Angel’ which stands high over the
East side of the Cathedral ready to blow her trumpets to signify the end of the world!
