'All our dreams can come true...if we have the courage to pursue them' Some of the happy students who received certificates for their positive contribution to school life in
St. Vincent's at the recent awards ceremony. Leaving Certificate students organised a coffee morning for staff in appreciation of their hard work and dedication. It was a very generous gesture and was much appreciated by the staff.
Congratulations to Amy O' Connor (left) and Shannon Carson (right) who represented Ireland at U17 level in Austria in the qualifying stages of the European Championships. Good luck in the future!
A happy photograph of sisters from the convent with Class Aislinn and their teacher Ms E. Lysaght as they enjoyed a gathering in the school to celebrate the life and work of Mary Aiikenhead. Congratulations to all our TY students on their recent graduation. They achieved great success during their busy year. They were great role models to our students and great ambassadors for our school. They successfully linked with Trend Micro Inc. in an effort to address cyber bullying and the misuse of social media. Trend Micro is a global leader in content security software services. Ms. Avril Ronan from Trend Micro has been involved with our TY students training them in how to be safe on the internet. The module taught the girls how to be good internet citizens and about the dangers of cyber bullying. The TY students also worked as mentors with First Years in this area. TY students make a presentation to Ann O' Riordan from the Irish Heart Foundation. The money was raised at the recent Valentine's Ball organised by the TY students with Ms.S. Connolly
and Ms. D. Allen Ms. Lysaght and the TY class were invited to a presentation breakfast and a tour of the plant at Boston Scientific recently. The visit reached a climax with the presentation of certificates to the the students by their mentor Mr. Daniel Aherne to mark their very successful completion of The Company Programme
