Leaving Certificate Calculated Grades – Results Day 7th September 2020

Dear Student,

I know that many of you are eagerly awaiting the release of your Leaving Certificate Calculated Grades tomorrow Monday 7th September 2020. The most recent information regarding the issuing of results, offers and appeals was communicated to schools on Friday evening.

As the wait for the Leaving Certificate Calculated Grades is almost over, on behalf of all the staff of St. Vincent’s Secondary School, we wish you the very best of luck.

Your results will be available to you on your State Examinations Commission (SEC) Student Portal account from 9 a.m., Monday 7th September.

Please follow the attached link:  https://www.examinations.ie/candidate-portal/

Please contact the school office on 021-4307730 if you need your Exam Number to log in. In the event you have forgotten your password, there will be a ‘forgot my password’ option. Due to COVID-19 restrictions the school will not be able to facilitate the handing out of results in the traditional fashion. You must use the online portal to access your results.

Staff will be available to you here at the school from results day, 7th September to CAO offers day, Friday 11th of September, (by telephone through the main office or by appointment - adhering at all times to Covid 19 protocols) to discuss any CAO related/progression queries you may have. There will also be a national helpline dedicated for CAO related queries, 1800 265 165.

I know Ms. Ryan has made contact last week and should you need specific guidance regarding options for future studies and queries you may have around the process accepting offers, then please make contact with her and schedule a meeting in person or over the phone.

The SEC Calculated Grades Executive Office (CGEO) will also have a dedicated helpline, available at 1800 111135 or 1800 111136, from 9.a.m. to 4 p.m. from Monday 7th September to Wednesday 16th September. Outside of these hours queries may be emailed to lcsupport2020@education.gov.ie

As per the DES guidelines, no member of staff is permitted to discuss the estimated marks submitted by teachers. Any questions or queries in this regard should be directed to the SEC/CGEO Calculated Grades helpline/email outlined above. Please see the following links attached outlining further information.

Your class group has navigated its way through numerous obstacles to get this far and you should be proud of your efforts. It is important to remember that the issuing of results, although significant, will never define you and should never let it limit your optimism or vision for your future. Great things are achieved by people who get out into the world and work hard. You all have the skills and ability to achieve anything.

Make a mark!
