Senior Art students from St. Vincent's travelled to Dublin for the day and had a fantastic tour of the National Gallery of Ireland and the National Museum of Ireland with their teachers Ms. J Neill and Ms. L. Healy.
Pupils were treated to a guided tour by staff from the Gallery’s Education Department, with specific paintings being explained in wonderful detail, adding greatly to the overall experience.
Many pupils commented that it was an amazing feeling to stand in front of artworks by Picasso, Monet, Caravaggio and Van Gogh and be able to recognise them from their Art History classes.
Gallery staff had great praise for the St. Vincent's students saying how impressed they were with the girls’ knowledge of and enthusiasm shown towards the artworks on display.
Well done to all our budding artists of whom we are so proud!
