St. Vincent's Secondary School has been involved with Trend Micro's Be Smart Internet Safety Programme for many years. The main aim of the programme is digital literacy and safety. Trend Micro's online safety and poster competition What's Your Story? was recently launched with a media push across Ireland to engage more primary and secondary school students with the campaign. The competition promotes the safe, responsible and successful use of technology among young people. Munster Rugby have been wonderful supporters of the work of Trend Micro over the past five years. Munster Rugby's James Cronin, Niall Scannell and Cian Bohane with Avril Ronan from Trend Micro Online Youth Campaign visited the school recently for a photo opportunity with St. Vincent's students to launch competition.
