On Wednesday 20th April 2016, as part of Teen Day at the City Library’s Cork World Book Fest, St. Vincent’s Transition Year students exhibited an amazing art installation titled
The Trouble With Words.
The artwork, which included a set of life size stencils of the students alongside a giant mobile phone with the text message
‘Nothing is Impossible, the word itself says I’m possible’ was designed and created by the TY students under the excellent care of Cork Community Artlink Artistic Director William Frode de la Foret and his team at their new premises on Watercourse Road.
The students’ artwork was displayed in the City Library’s front entrance and set the tone wonderfully for a day of workshops, readings and film screenings involving several Cork City secondary schools.
